Sun.
It shines so bright, wrapping itself around me.
My skin is warm, humming with anticipation.
The gateway to another summer.
Trees and flowers
Are once again in bloom.
Bees and butterflies are out, giving life
To the colorful plants that create pictures of beauty.
Song birds sing.
Tunes that only they know, but that
we come to appreciate.
The owl.
He sits in the highest tree, hidden from the world.
Only known by the sound of his hoot.
Front porch.
Homemade tea.
A book. Two chairs. And silence.
Peace.
Be Still.
